The Jaipur International Film Festival – JIFF which is now considered a part of the most prominent film festivals of the world has released its first list of nominations on Sunday mid night.
In this list, 72 films from all over the country and abroad were able to find a place. These films were selected from among 1677 applications received from around 79 countries across the world.
A total of 72 films have been included in this list. The list has maximum films, totaling 19 from India while USA (11 Films) ranks second and Germany, Canada, Iran, France (3-3 Films from each country) at third. Besides India, the remaining 48 (and 5 films Co Production) films are from Russia, China, Germany, USA, Canada, Spain, France, Australia, UAE, Iran, England, Poland and Finland etc.
The selectors have chosen these films from 1677 entries received so far. This list of selected films includes 16 Feature Fiction Films, 9 Documentary Feature Films, 4 Short Documentary Films, 6 Animation Short Films, 32 Short fiction films and 5 student short films have been selected for JIFF 2018.
These films have been selected by a selection board of 51 members of which 31 are Indian and 20 are from abroad.
